On Saturday 3rd June, 13 photographers all keen to develop their digital photography skills joined a workshop led by Felicity Hammond. Beginning with the question ‘What is photography now?’, the day unfolded through exploring contemporary approaches to photography and how to really get photographs to tell a story to the viewer.
Culminating in being set a brief, the session asked the group to consider ‘How can we represent the future, through photographing the present?’. This opened up many interpretations, from commentary on social media, to growth and the natural world through to gentrification and architectural change. Below is a selection of images from the day, including some of the wonderful images produced by the participants.
