Rachel Maclean uses the medium of children’s television, fairy tales and the obsessive nature of social media to present works that are candy-sweet grotesques.
Rachel’s films, images and sculptures lampoon consumerism and society’s need for perpetual, unsubstantial consumption. In 2016/17 Rachel has a major solo exhibition, Art Now: Rachel Maclean: Wot u 🙂 about at HOME, Manchester and Tate Britain. In 2017 she will represent Scotland at the Venice Biennale.
More info will be added to this event soon. Meanwhile, find out more about Rachel’s work over on her website.
